Apple, cranberry and pear crumble
When I was in Iowa last week, Aaron brought Averie home from pre-school with a heaped bag of pears. I decided to kidnap the bag of pears and transform them into baked goodies once I got home from our road trip.
Friday was that day and I started with a recipe I stumbled upon on ‘www.AllRecipes.com’ for apple, cranberry and pear crisp – this simplistic, rustic, recipe has haunted me since the day I read it last week. It sounded delicious!
I made two of these, one for dessert at a friends house Saturday night and one to test – obviously 😉 LOL! My main concern would be that it would be bland, so I added a generous dose of cinnamon with a 1/3 as much nutmeg.
